WHMIS 1988/2015
Identifying the hazardous materials we work with and understanding how to protect ourselves from them are essential to ensuring a safe and healthy workplace.

With so many different materials across multiple industries within Canada, it was challenging to identify them all. The Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) created a consistent and practical way to identify hazardous materials and developed the necessary measures for prevention and control, should an accident or illness occur.

Designed to educate employees and managers at all levels of business, this course focuses on the processes and procedures contained within the WHMIS guidelines including the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS); employer and employee responsibilities; adverse health implications and provides tools for hazard prevention and control.
